WDC is hosting a members-only day in Annapolis, including a complimentary lunch with the Montgomery County delegation. This unique opportunity will allow members the opportunity to see the General Assembly in action. We will watch the Senate and House debate live, hear from Annapolis insiders on how to effectively advocate in Annapolis, meet one on one with our legislators, hear an overview of MoCo-sponsored legislation for this year's session, and watch legislators advocate on critical issues in committee.

A dedicated County Councilman and Executive with a progressive vision, he was the first African American elected to these leadership positions. In tough budget times he worked to balance the budget while preserving, and even expanding, valuable programs like affordable housing for low and moderate income residents. "Celebrators" include Senator Chris Van Hollen, Representative Jamie Raskin, Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh, Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker, Catherine Leggett, Dr. Susan Leggett Johnson, and Dr. Teresa Schwartz,. We will also be joined by Democratic Nominee for Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich.
