Ben Sheehan is on a mission to increase voter participation. In 2016, after an award-winning stint as executive producer of “Funny or Die,” Ben used digital videos to help register 50,000 new voters, as executive director of Save the Day. In 2018, he founded OMG WTF (Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, Texas, Florida) to teach voters about executive races. That same year, The Hollywood Reporter included him among the entertainment industry’s “NextGen: 35 Rising Executives Under 35.” Fast Company named his Gerrymander Jewelry project a finalist for its 2019 World Changing Ideas. Ben Sheehan’s new book, OMG WTF Does the Constitution Actually Say?, is an entertaining, accessible, illustrated primer on how our government is supposed to work, intended to turn readers into informed, effective voters.
Don’t miss Ben Sheehan, whom Oregon’s legendary Powell’s Books described as “a political savant and entertainment veteran.” Ben's mom, former WDC Vice President Riki Sheehan, will introduce him as he kicks off WDC's Zoom discussion series.
