Meet the History Committee Co-Chairs
Teddi Pensinger is a retired Federal employee whose 34-year career in various components of the Department of Health and Human Services as a public affairs professional included development and implementation of public service campaigns, speech writing for Agency principals, and even participating in Presidential advance. She has a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Maryland. Teddi has been a WDC member for 13 years, was a Board Member (Communications Co-Chair) for six years and Newsletter Editor for six years as well. Outside of politics, Teddi enjoys singing in the NIH Community Chorus and Encore Rocks.
Katherine Rogers is the Archives and Collections Manager for Peerless Rockville. She has an MA in Historical Archaeology from Boston University with a concentration in Material Culture Studies. Katherine’s thesis was on the finding women in the archaeological record in sites on the Western Frontier (1840-1870). Her interest in women’s studies has continued with research on the experiences of women in the 19th Century and especially of women suffragists. Outside of her professional work, she explores life in the 19th century through her involvement with the Victorian Lyric Opera Company, and sings in the NIH Community Chorus.
