Kensington Labor Day Parade

“I love a parade!”

I hope you do, too. MCDCC and the District 18 Democratic Caucus can use your help with two different functions at the Kensington Labor Day Parade:

1. We need help in staffing the Democratic Party table and tent from 8:45 or so until 3. The table and tent will probably be on Armory Street, behind the Safeway. We need pairs of Democratic volunteers to pass out materials, register voters, answer questions, and show the Democratic Party presence leading up to next year’s state elections!

The Festival is open and ready for business by 9:00 a.m. Booths must be set up by then. Please let me know what slot you would like:

8:45 to 10:45; 10:45 to 12:45; and 12:45 to 3

2. If you enjoy BEING in a parade, you can march in front of a convertible carrying Aaron Kaufman, Emily Shetty, and me ( Alan Banov ) and carry the MCDCC sign. We need two or more people to carry our banner and others to pass out candy (and possibly lit.) along the parade route. We are expected to line up for the parade at 9, which is supposed to begin at 10, but if volunteers come at 9:30-9:45, it will not be too late.
