Dr. Collins Jones has been the coordinator for the Biotechnology Program at the Germantown Campus of Montgomery College since 2000. In that position, he prepares students for entry-level positions at Biotechnology Companies and to continue their education. Over 250 students from the Montgomery College Biotech Program have been employed by the local Biotechnology Industry. He also consults and collaborates with local Biotech companies and is a national instructor for BioTech Primer Inc. Prior to coming to MC, he worked as a Post Doc and Senior Staff Fellow at NIH. He spent 5 years at the National Cancer Institute studying liver cancer and CYP expression and activity followed by 5 years at the National Institute on Aging working on lipid signal transduction and brain imaging. His Ph.D. is in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland with a BS is in Biochemistry and a mathematics minor from Albright College.
